This lychee black tea is the highest grade I've ever come across. It was made in Guangdong in the summer of 2018 with excellent Yunnan Dianhong base material and is not artificially flavored to make for a more flavorful cup. There is only a hint of lychee flavor to this tea since it is naturally fragranced with lychees, so if you like a strong lychee flavor, the fragranced kind may be more to your taste. This tea has lovely, dianhong malt notes. Like the everyday lychee black tea, this tea has calming energy and is smooth and easy to drink when brewed at 90 Celsius. The tea is warm and sweet-tasting without actually being sweet, and has lovely notes of caramel that I haven't noticed in any other black tea. There is also honey present in later infusions that surprised me.

This tea fully complies with Chinese standards for heavy metals and pesticides. While this tea costs twice as much as the everyday lychee black tea, this is a much better tea all around and well worth trying.

Brewing suggestion: 90 Celsius, with water of low hardness (15-35 mg/L, with 1-3 mg/L of magnesium). 8g/100ml. Start with 10-15 second infusions for the first two or three infusions, then add 10-15 seconds to each successive infusion. If the liquor is too weak for your tastes, add more time.
