Description

This is the only black tea currently on offer from one of Hong Kong's oldest tea companies. Lychee black tea has been consumed for a very long time in the Lingnan Region, especially in Guangdong.

This tea was produced in Anhui and is really outstanding value for the money. There are bits of lychee peel visible in the dry leaf. This tea has been fragranced with aromatic compounds to mimic natural lychee fragrance; natural lychee tea is very mild and lightly scented, but the drinking grade lychee tea on the market is fragranced to make the flavor much more prominent.

This tea is surprisingly smooth and easy on the tummy for the price point. If you haven't tried a lychee black tea, or if you'd like to try an offering produced specifically for Cantonese drinkers, add some of this to your cart!

I recommend brewing this tea for several minutes at 90 Celsius. This tea can take water at full boil as well, but 90 Celsius is the suggested temperature for all Chinese hong cha and I've found the results to be much better when using water that isn't at full boil.

Brewing suggestion: 90 Celsius, with water of low hardness (15-35 mg/L, with 1-3 mg/L of magnesium). Flash rinse once.

Please note: No volume discounts are available on this tea.
