I've been aging this tea in my warehouse since June 2017, and it has come along beautifully! The cakes have loosened up and I could very easily snap a chunk off to try.

This is a lovely shou recipe I only tried after aging ten cakes myself (and I am very impressed). This is excellent quality tea that won't break the bank, and has lovely sweet jujube flavors. While this doesn't have the powerful calming effect I've noticed from higher grade Dayi shou (and even the venerable V93 tuos), this tea tastes amazing. If you want a sweet, tasty shou for a good price, this is a prime candidate: you get Dayi quality and the effect of over two years of HK natural storage in my eleventh-floor warehouse here in Hong Kong, at a reasonable price point! I've found two years in my warehouse to consistently be the right amount of time to get shou right where I'd like it. The time here in my warehouse has removed absolutely all traces of fermentation and taken off the rough edge this tea would have had when it arrived from Kunming. This is a smooth, pleasant shou now with lots of lovely sweet flavor.

This recipe was created specifically for the Hong Kong market, and the environment here has brought the tea along to right where I want it.
