Update: July 19th, 2021

Just found one last brick in the warehouse! I've had this brick since February 2016, so the brick has been in my storage for over five years now!

These 2013 Dayi 7562 bricks have been aged for a little over three years in my warehouse here in Hong Kong! These bricks have aged very well indeed. This is now really lovely tea: it is sweet with almond and nutty notes, which I would never have guessed from trying this brick early on!

I only have three bricks from this batch in total, since they were originally purchased for my own consumption. I do have more (that I purchased specifically for TeaLife HK) that will go up soon, but these bricks have had a nine month head start!

I've really been very impressed by the phenomenal rate at which my tea has come along in the warehouse, and these bricks are my favorite yet of the ripe bricks and cakes I've had aging away!

In the cup, the dominant flavors are jujube, with some date and a hint of camphor. There is some pleasant bitterness, probably from the tiny bit of raw pu erh incorporated into the recipe. There is not a trace of wo dui left in this tea, so this is definitely a great tea for those who averse to pile fermentation and storage aromas! This is a very clean and smooth ripe.

As the infusions progress, this tea gets sweeter and the whisper of camphor entirely dissipates. As with many Dayi shu productions, this tea has a powerful calming effect on me!
