This cake was procured from an authorized CNNP wholesaler in China. The tea was warehoused in Guangdong and with great care!
The leaf quality of this cake definitely appears better than any 7542 or 8582 I have encountered. There was some conjecture online about whether these cakes actually contained Yiwu material, but the base material is definitely superior to any standard four-number CNNP production.
The compression of the cake is also surprisingly light for a CNNP production, and reminds me more of a boutique single origin pu erh.
This tea is smooth, only very lightly astringent (even when pushed hard) and has a touch of camphor, along with origin character notes. This is really a lovely tea for the money and an excellent example of Guangdong dry storage!
Please note quantities of this tea are extremely limited. I have a total of five cakes, one of which is for samples. The dealer only has a handful remaining, which might get snatched up at any time!
