This is a new tea from a Hong Kong family who still handles traditional storage pu erh: the process is very much dying out here since many companies switched to dry storage in the mid-2000s after the 88 qing bing shook up the market so drastically. I am happy to continue purchasing this family's tea (including their natural storage tea), since their storage is excellent and they only offer limited amounts of tea they warehouse themselves! I don't know how much of this is left in their inventory, and Neither do the family, So if you want one or more cakes, please get some while the getting is good!

I was originally looking for a 7542 to replace the 2003-2005 traditional storage 7542 (from another vendor) which I offered here on the site. Well, I cleared the previous dealer's inventory of traditional storage 7542 out, and they now only have dry (HK natural) storage 7542 for sale! While excellent, I know a lot of people prefer HK traditional storage sheng, but there's a reason why HK natural storage tea shook up the market so drastically! This 7532 is really well worth trying. This family's natural (dry) storage is definitely on the wetter end of the spectrum!

The liquor in the first infusion was smooth with surprising thickness, a whisper of astringency, mild, pleasant bitterness and long lasting ku wei. The liquor is remarkably smooth with pleasant calming energy! When brewed strong in Jianshui clay, there is a pronounced storage note, as well as distinct wildflower and date in the finish.

The second infusion was smooth, thick and pleasant, and the pleasant cha qi kept coming!

This is a really lovely tea and unlike any other natural storage sheng I've ever had due to the surprising thickness. While the natural storage process will knock down aromatics some, there are other characteristics that very much shine through, and this is a very good example of how different natural storage shengs can be from another, even from the same warehouse!

I absolutely have to have one of these cakes for my own consumption before the family runs out (most likely because of you guys)! Please don't miss out on this limited offering because once It's gone, it's gone!
