These bricks were stored in the far south of Guangdong, right across the border from Hong Kong, by a very successful Cantonese couple who are well established in the pu erh game. Their style of warehousing is excellent and very well balanced (not too wet or dry). I picked out these bricks to try as I'd never seen bamboo-wrapped Dayi bricks before. I'm very glad I did as this is a very interesting tea, and quite hard to come by in the Western market!
There is still some residual smoke aroma to the brick when smelling the tea itself, but it is faint after twelve years of dry storage.
