This is a high roast shuixian that was originally roasted in the mid 2000s by an old school Hong Kong tea company. This tea has a very mild, subtle flavor compared to the Three Stamp Shuixian and Superior Grade Shuixian I also offer. There is some light returning sourness and bitterness to this tea on the palate, but this tea is all about how smooth it is to drink. It is easy on your stomach and I find this very relaxing to drink. This tea has excellent calming energy and can easily go for seven or eight infusions. There is a hint of roast flavor and original character that returns after the swallow, but it is fleeting. If subtle, calming high fire shuixian with a little age sounds like your cup of tea, this tea is great value and absolutely delivers. This tea has a fair bit of broken leaf from handling by the dealer, but it is still a wonderful example of high roast shuixian!
