After great success using a modern duanni pot with high fire dahongpao (the pot was bought from me on Instagram by a collector from Moscow, and I later realized the cute little 70ml fanggu is now irreplaceable), I was asked about using a duanni pot for aged pu erh. I decided to try this pot out after sourcing it directly from a factory in Yixing, and it has exceeded my expectations! This pot will work very well for HK and Guangdong aged pu erh (both raw and ripe), as well as higher roast tieguanyin and Wuyicha. This pot has a rapid 12-second pour, which is very desirable to Western tea aficionados. The nice, wide mouth also makes it very easy to load and unload, which makes it a pleasure to use.
