These lovely teapots were made in the 90s for export to Taiwan. They are made with excellent clay that strongly resembles Factory 1 qingshuini from the early 80s, but with a slightly larger sandy bits in the clay. It is possible these pots were crafted by Factory 1 workers after the opening up of the Yixing teapot market in the 90s.

The pot in the pictures is my own, and it has developed a lovely patina with only a few uses!

These are surprisingly light and thin walled teapots and have a good twenty-second pour. They also come with Taiwanese stainless steel filters. These filters are easily removable if desired and will reveal the standard one-holed spout.

These are outstanding teapots for medium oxidized or roastier oolong tea, but would also work very well with good dry storage sheng and shou and even black teas (hongcha)! I'm keeping one for myself, but I have two more if anyone would like one. These are really excellent pots, so if you're looking for a pot that will brew lovely tea for years to come, these are hard to beat!

This teapot ships in a padded box.
